Nothing much has changed since I last updated this blog with content on my own life, except that I started a new job :) It was quite by accident, as the freelance position I applied for ended up changing into a full-time animation assistant position for some Flash e-courses. It's pretty awesome so far, as I get to draw every day! Yay! I work in Glendale, but still live with my awesome grandmother, who has me to help her out with various activities, including making homemade kumquat preserves, weeding her garden, and watching Dancing with the Stars Monday and Tuesday nights. She is quite hilarious at times, and I hope to soon illustrate some of her antics here!
Until then, here are some work doodles (did you know I like cats?), and a drawing of a church tower from across the street at my work. My co-worker said he would like to draw the architecture, and I went along with him to the little courtyard at the Episcopal parish. It was quite nice, and the stained glass inside is phenomenal. I hope to draw more with him there soon!

Random Life, Random Doodles
Soo... my life has been pretty unpredictable since I graduated college. Not knowing what lies ahead for me really puts me on edge. Not having regular income has been putting me on edge, too (not that I have many bills to pay anyways).
So the logical thing for me to do? Of course it's to take a full time internship with almost no pay. Yeah, that sounds about right. I'm starting Tuesday at Acme Filmworks as a Production Intern in Hollywood. This also means that I'll be moving in with my grandmother for the better part of the week, visiting my parents and sisters on the weekends. I'm pretty excited, but still weighing pros and cons.
Cons: 1) almost NO PAY, did I mention that? I thought I was done working for free -_- 2) living in a big house with only one other for company, whereas I'm used to several people around all the time 3) I'll be living away from most of my friends and family 4) my grandmother has a cocker spaniel
Pros: 1) production experience and hopefully a ton of networking 2) food made by my babcia (grandma) every day 3) get to go to LA Drawing Club meet ups :D 4) my grandmother has a FAT cocker spaniel, which means I have a running buddy
But what would I be doing otherwise? Babysitting (really cute) children and getting underpaid working freelance jobs. I think the experience will be worthwhile *crosses fingers*
In conclusion, here are some doodles as random as my life:

Bisnis Card
Here's the design for the back of my business cards :) I got them made for the CTN Animation Expo and now have a bunch to hand out despite giving away a lot of them already! The other side just has my name and a link to my portfolio blogspot (monicakozlowski.blogspot.com), because I haven't done enough research about buying my own domain and/or blogspot is one of few sites that support videos! Need my reel on my site for sure. Anyway, they turned out really cute! :3
