Friend Drake is heading home to Colorado and skiing!

My friend Drake is heading home to Colorado soon, with her new skis! This is a doodle I did with her at our favorite cafe in my area, KC's Crepes Cafe, where they provide a little notebook for doodling! I took a photo of it and colored it in quickly in Photoshop when I got home. We used to go to that cafe all the time in high school, and still enjoy grabbing boba drinks and crepes when she's in town. Basically, I need to visit her soon and take advantage of the Colorado snow (because California is not having much at all this season!)

First doodle of 2014

Happy New Year! My first doodle of 2014. Obviously terrible and disproportionate but it was the first thing I drew and I wanted to post it regardless of how it turned out. Drew it on the back of a receipt at the breakfast place my boyfriend, best friend, and I went to this morning after a fun night out. We even took a photo trying to copy the doodle I did yesterday! I think the photo is better than the doodle for sure!

Hat Sick

I'm sick. Got some kind of cold. Wore a hat all day even though I live in Los Angeles and the temperature was pretty warm considering its December. Time to take some Dimetapp and head to bed.

Happy belated Thanksgiving! So thankful this year for so many things: family, friends, boyfriend, food... and the time to doodle. Got to finish up some quick coloring of this doodle I did of my little sister for her first day of school back in August. It's not perfect but at least I'm getting some practice in :) Now to head to Fresno for a wedding.

Friend-a-day

Decided to start drawing a friend a day for a week, after my two sketches of my sisters prompted an artist friend of mine to request one himself. Here are two more from Wednesday and Thursday, and I finished a colored version of my sister, let's count that for Friday.

Doodles done at work yesterday! BTW I've been working as a motion graphics animator for a couple months now at the same place that does Wellcast. It's a lot of fun, though tedious at times. Though I get to doodle while I render! Woo
